E&C is a mid-sized law firm in Southeast Asia with an expanding team of attorneys and support staff. 02 — Approach
The solution
We deployed a Synology NAS solution designed for law firm needs, delivering a secure and scalable private-cloud system. By implementing a Synology-driven legal document management system, the firm gained control of its data without depending on third-party public cloud providers.

We established the NAS as the central, high-speed storage hub, providing seamless, concurrent access for all staff. The system was configured for data redundancy (RAID) to eliminate local points of failure and ensure an always-on environment.

We architected the mission-critical cloud backup using Synology's Active Backup for Business to replicate sensitive client data to a secure remote location — an unassailable offsite backup and a clear business-continuity plan.

Implementation
Synology Drive provides a secure private-cloud platform for file management and collaboration. Staff access, synchronize, restore, and back up files through desktop clients, mobile apps, or a browser — with granular permissions ensuring the right people have the right access.
Role-based access
Cross-site sync + snapshots
Granular permissions and the Admin Console give full visibility into activity logs, file sharing, and permission changes. Cross-site syncing enables efficient file access across locations using SMB or NFS shares over local networks or VPN.
Integration with Active Directory / LDAP makes access control straightforward, while advanced snapshot technology safeguards files from accidental deletion or tampering — ensuring business-critical data remains secure and recoverable.
